Q: How does the fleece work to prevent wetness coming through?
How does the fleece work to prevent wetness coming through?

A: Fleece fabrics are not waterproof they are water phobic which means they prevent the water travelling through them. 100wt fabric will allow the wetness to travel through, preventing the wetness sitting on your child's skin. 200 and 300wt fabric are heavy enough to prevent the wetness coming through the fabric. If your absorbent fabric is saturated moisture may compress through. Some wicking of wetness may occur when the child sits in the same position with a wet nappy, such as in a car seat or a young baby who is not yet mobile.

    Q: What does 100wt, 200wt & 300wt mean?
    What does 100wt, 200wt & 300wt mean?

A: The higher the number, the heavier and warmer the fabric and therefore the more water repellant.
    In grams the difference is:
100 = 225-280g per linear metre used for lining nappies as it allows the urine to wick through the fabric onto your absorbent material
200 = 300-400g per linear metre used for day time nappies will prevent the wetness wicking through on nappies that are changed frequently during the day.
300 = 400-500g per linear metre used for night time nappies will prevent the wetness wicking through on nappies that is adequately boosted for over night wear.

Q: Which side of fleece fabric is the right side?
Which side of fleece fabric is the right side?

A: A. To determine which side of the fabric is the right side, simply pull along the selvage (manufacturers finished edge not the cut edge), the selvage will roll to the right side of the fabric. The selvage is also the least stretchy edge of the fabric.

    Q: What is bamboo material
    What is bamboo material?

A: Bamboo is a natural textile made from the pulp of bamboo grass fleece It is a beautiful, really soft fabric that is more sustainable in production than most other textiles. It is light and strong and as it is a natural fibre many who cannot wear other textiles can wear bamboo.
It is extremely water absorbent considered equal to Hemp and superior to cotton.
